Nutrition advice to improve your memory

Did you know that food can help you improve your memory? The fact is that if we follow a balanced and healthy diet the whole body benefits, as in this way the organs are able to function better.

Nuts
They are rich in polyphenols, a type of nutrient that stops us suffering from oxidative stress and therefore helps our brain to function better. Also, the cardiovascular system is improved allowing better pumping of the blood from the heart and therefore the brain becomes oxygenated.

Maca root
This root comes from the Andes and is full of very beneficial nutrients for our health. It improves circulation from the brain and enhances concentration and the memory. It also has energising properties that boost our energy and vitality.

Green-leaf vegetables
Spinach, Swiss chard, broccoli, etc. These food products are rich in a great variety of nutrients such as vitamin A, B and antioxidants. They all help to optimise our cerebral functions so we perform to the maximum extent. The antioxidants allow our brain to be protected from premature ageing and they have anti-cancer and brain protector properties.

Oily fish
An ideal food for a healthy and active brain as it gives us a great quantity of nutrients such as phosphorous. This mineral is essential for our mental health as the membranes of the neurons themselves are made up of phosphorous. Oily fish also gives us Omega 3 fatty acids which have a lot of antioxidants, perfect to guarantee an optimum state of health for our brain.

By including these ingredients in your diet you will provide your brain with the nutrients it needs to function better and your memory will therefore be enhanced.
